Does anyone follow this blog? It's full of FANTASTIC ideas for organising the classroom (and yourself!) and ideas to use with the class too! I'm a bit obsessed with it now, reading it every day. I now have a folder set up on my desktop called 'Clutter Free Classroom' and it's filled with all sorts from the website. I've created 3 word documents - 1 for the teaching tips being posted at the moment, 1 for clutter organisation ideas and 1 for how to make a sub folder. There's also a load of pictures and documents from her TPT site! All just taken from this amazing blog! I can't recommend it enough!!!!

End of year pressies!
Sorry it's been so long folks! End of the year seems to be a hectic time, but now I can get a bit of a break to sort things out. I'll be moving house in a few days, out of my parents house and in with some friends. Looking forward to it but it's a little scary :S :D
Anyway, I wanted to show you what I made for the kids for the end of year presents. I attempted the crayon shapes and completely failed so will be trying and perfecting them for next year instead.
Below you can see my production process. Each child got:
- 1 plastic cup
- 1 plastic straw
- 1 crayon
- 1 melody pop
- 1 toffee fudge
- 1 owl (more on this shortly)
- 1 personal note
- 1 wordsearch with everyone's names included in it
After I put them all together, I wrapped them in cellophane and tied them up with a bit of blue or pink embroidery thread.

I made sure the names on their personal notes (cut out on my Silhouette Cameo) were showing along the outside so each child got the right cup. The kids loved them!!! Definitely going to have to repeat this next year, it was very cheap and easy to do! And hopefully I'll have managed to make some crayon shapes for them by then too!
Blue skies everyone :)

Inspired!
I'm feeling inspired today! Time for melting crayons!

On a quick side note - I tried these with shapes like fish and starfish. I hadn't really thought about the strength of the crayon in the narrow parts, and they fell apart! Next time, I'll follow this exactly, and do heart shapes!

Welcome to my blog!
Hi all! I'm a primary school teacher in London, and I'm about to finish my year as a NQT. I've been reading teaching blogs and stealing great ideas the whole time and I thought it might be time to give something back! So this blog is for sharing some amazing ideas from some amazing teachers. And I'll see if I can put in a few of my own ideas too :D
